Scripting

Scripting comes in many forms. UNIX administrators use many scripting technologies such as sed and awk, shell scripting, and Perl. The Windows world is starting to use VBScript and JScript for administrative tasks. The Web has introduced many designers to scripting using JavaScript and DHTML. Server-side scripting has allowed powerful additions to web sites using Perl, ASP, and SSJS (Server-side JavaScript).
